“After being here a year, Elk Mountain has become a home away from home… I had a feeling I needed help, but that I couldn’t do it at home, so I asked my parents and therapists to find me some place to go. I realize now that this place was in God’s plan for me, and he protected me and showed me the way to go, even if I wasn’t aware of it at the time. I have changed a lot since my start here at Elk Mountain…I have been through a lot at Elk Mountain, but it ‘s an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world. I’ve learned way more than I ever thought I could… The closer and closer I have gotten to leaving, the more I realize what an impact this place has had on me…”
